The Utah State Capitol Building is known for its majestic staircases and pillars. The inside is covered with marble floors and walls and the outside gives a beautiful white background to your photos. During the warmer months, you'll find colorful cherry blossom trees surrounding the location.
The inside of the capitol is currently open for photo and film Monday-Friday from 8 am - 5 pm. Masks are required inside, but are not required outside on the grounds.
If you are bringing external lights, props, and/or other large photography equipment (that is not connected to the camera itself), it is considered commercial photography and will need a permit.
Tips From Other Creatives In The Tribe
Google Maps will occasionally make it hard for you to find the parking lot, but you can access it on the east side of the building.
